Anthony Owens – Director of Business Development

Mr. Owens brings more than 15 years of experience in the government services industry to Waséyabek. He joined the company in 2022 and is responsible for the expansion of new business with the U.S. Department of Defense. Prior to joining WDC, Mr. Owens held numerous government positions for the Department of Defense, serving in various leadership and technical roles, specializing in engineering, logistics, manufacturing and program management.

Mr. Owens earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor, and also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland, and an associate degree in Engineering from the College of Southern Maryland. He also received certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute. Mr. Owens proudly serves in the Marine Corps Reserves as a Marine Officer.

While his primary responsibility is cultivating new business opportunities for Waséyabek’s federal companies, Mr. Owens is also focused on developing new strategic partnerships in the defense and federal contracting industries and further expanding the impact of WDC and its subsidiary companies in the SBA 8(a) contracting space on behalf of the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi Tribe.
